But there is a flaw in this logic. Yes, there has to be a great desire among athletes to be successful. That desire needs to be strong. It needs to be constant. It needs to be a focal point. And yes, in many ways it needs to surpass other desires, like rest, or recreation or relaxation.
But the truth is that the desire to win is not the most important factor for success.
Yes, a strong will to win is important, but the greatest athletes have something more than the will to win, they have the Will to Prepare to Win, and that is the most important factor.
