Most come from paper and cardboard, which are responsible for up to 90% of carbon dioxide emission, which means saving paper and board waste protects environment and saves costs.

Lots of our innovations achieve cost effectiveness and eco friendliness at the same time. Here automation improves cost efficiency and make systems much more sustainable by saving resources with the Speedmaster.

The Wash Assistant constantly monitors the degree of soiling the printing unit and automatically chooses the right brush up program for blanket impression cylinder and inking unit. This saves time in chemical especially because operators mostly like to use maximum program, but you're on the safe side even if the system chooses shorter programs - which also holds true for the Powder Assistant. This system also chooses the optimum setting for each individual job. Usually that uses less powder, the sheets don't stick together and the machine stays clean. All these functions work together for maximum effect.

There is a trend right now for inline surface finishing with cold foil as an alternative to full coverage aluminium laminated sheets. Cold foil is better for the environment to applying aluminum to only part of the sheet means there's less aluminium on substrate and therefore less aluminum in circulation, which is better for the environment.
