Tari Taruna Jaya translates to 'the glory of youth' and shows the mercurial moods of a teenager, wavering between moments of pride, confidence, shyness and flirtation. This dance was developed in Northern Bali in Buleleng province in line with the explosive style of gamelan gong kebyar. Legendary dancer, I Gede Manik is known as the creator ofTaruna Jaya.
