#ChalkZone was one of Nickelodeon’s first major blunders in show management. Expected to air in 2000 as a spin-off to Oh Yeah! Cartoons, it ended up airing its 4 seasons from 2002-2008 with gradually worse promotion. Larry Huber & Bill Burnett’s creation of a chalk world never seemed to find its big break, at least for very long, before being put in limbo. Was the show just not up to Nick’s standards, or were Nick’s standards not up to it?
