Описание к видео Illegal Mexican Agave Spirit? | What is Raicilla

Raicilla is an Agave Spirit from Jalisco, Mexico. Jalisco Raicilla is an agave spirit that is essentially a Mezcal, but it cannot be classified as such because of the Designation of Origin of Mezcal. It is sometimes called Mexican Moonshine due to its Underground and Illicit production, to evade taxes.

Jalisco is usually known for its Tequila, but they also produce Raicilla, but it was usually produced illegally underground and sold under the nose of the authorities. Raicilla was only produced commercially in 2008, but has been growing in popularity ever since, having been first imported into the U.S a few years later.

Mexico is typically known for its Agave Spirits, Tequila, Mezcal but its not the only spirits produced in Mexico. There are several others such as Sotol, Bacanora & Raicilla. Raicilla is one of these amazing Agave Spirits made in Mexico that doesn't get enough love yet.
