A bone marrow transplant, also called a stem cell transplant, may cause various side effects. These are different for everyone and can depend on the type of transplant, your general health and the treatments you receive in the run up to and during your transplant.

How side effects are managed is an important consideration and part of the supportive care you will receive from your care team. Frequently talking with your health care team about side effects, before, and during your transplant helps you when making treatment decisions to help you cope with a treatment and improve your quality of life during your transplant.’
