One of my favourite Atari arcade games, Road Runner captures the essence of the cartoons perfectly.

As Road Runner, you need to grab all the bird seed while staying one step ahead of Wile E. Coyote who, true to form, uses various contraptions in a vane attempt to capture you. It's possible to earn bonus points by luring Wile E. into the path of oncoming trucks, land mines and rock slides, or if you're feeling particularly cocky, let him get within arms reach for a cool "tongue bonus".

The game has no ending, instead introducing new features and mechanics with each loop of the 5 or so levels.
