Howard and I were in the Philippines together in the Air Force. I recall when he began attending. He was in our home on base all the time when the NTCC preacher was pulled out of the country due to 2 Americans who were killed outside the base in 1990. This was done for their safety.
Our house became a sort of Servicemen's Home/ hanging out spot....not in the creepy commune way where anyone slept over, but just all of us together enjoying one another's company. It was a healthy way of gathering together.....not being forced to go to a building and not questioning one another's love of god and dedication and not questioning them if they didn't come over all the time....though I think Howard was never in danger of that....lol.
This saddens me. To see how much he has become a product of the ORG just breaks my heart to pieces.
