Telangana High Court Adjourns Hearing On Splitting Of GHMC GO, Issues Notices

The state government has challenged the GO No. 55 issued recently by it, dividing GHMC into three corporations. A businessman named Guruva Reddy filed a petition in the Telangana High Court against the decision, arguing that the move is against the central circular regarding the 2027 census, so a stay order should be issued on the GO till the census is completed and GHMC should remain as it is. The court issued notices to the central and state governments on the matter and adjourned the hearing for three weeks.
