KempenGlas is a project carried out by volunteers in the rural area of Kempen in the Netherlands. The citizens formed a cooperative association and deployed fibre optics in four municipalities. 2 200 households were offered a connection of 1 Gbps with the potential for upgrading. Different providers can put their services on the network but the network belongs to the cooperative and its members.

The project was privately funded through contributions from citizens and loans from the province and a commercial bank.
