Does the light from the Sun flicker?

We know that the Earth's atmospheric disturbances are what cause star light to flicker or twinkle at night, so the same should apply to the Sun. The Sun, however, is much closer and brighter so it's more difficult to notice the flicker.

A slow-motion video taken with the IR-SENSE film installed appears to show the infrared solar reflection from leaves flickering. In this case, disturbance of the trees by wind could be further contributing to the flicker.
