Abdullah al-Yazouri, a child in occupied Gaza, has written a message to US leaders on Eid, urging them to reflect on Palestinian suffering amid ongoing Israeli attacks.

“This Eid, we break our fast not with feasts, but with grief,” he writes. “Our homes lie in ruins, our families torn apart – yet still, we gather, still we hope.”

Addressing the disparity between US rhetoric and action, he says: “You speak of peace, yet send weapons. You speak of rights, yet turn away from our suffering. We are the children of Gaza. We are not threats. We are not statistics.”
