Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has indeed been locally producing Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models in India. The company set up its manufacturing plant in Pune, India, which became operational in 2011. This facility is a joint venture between JLR and Tata Motors, the parent company of JLR.
