In this video, Shawn Powers covers an introduction to the Linux LPI LPIC-2 Exam 201. LPIC-2 is a certification from the Linux Professional Institute that requires you to pass two exams: 201 and 202. You don’t have to take these simultaneously, and Shawn explains why you should pursue them sequentially.

This short video serves as an introduction to the Linux LPIC-2 Linux Engineer certification.

Shawn breaks the cert down into the two exams required to earn it, then discusses the best strategy to earn LPIC-2 with the least amount of frustration.

Rather than attempting to study for and pass both exams concurrently, he explains why studying for (and then passing) Exam 201 should be your goal before you even begin studying for Exam 202.

The underlying assumption Linux makes for this cert is that you already know how to use Linux and have probably already earned the LPIC-1 certification. Shawn builds on this foundation and discusses the context and benefits of LPIC-2.
