Munich Mineral Show 2024: Exploring one of the World's Largest Mineral Fairs

As every year at the end of October, Munich in Germany is home to the biggest mineral fair in Europe. In 2024, 1 100 exibhitors attended the show in more than 5 exhibiting halls and over 41000 visitors arrived. 2 halls are focused on gemology and jewels, other 3 on mineral specimens.
Exhibitors were from 64 countries all over the World. From Africa, there were sellers with topaz from Zambia, grossular garnet from Mali, Ethiopian opals, Tanzanian tanzanites, and many more. A lot of European exhibitors attended as well, for example sellers with the famous Pyrites from Spain, English Fluorites, demantoids from Italy, Czech moldavites…
Brazilian quarts and tourmalines or famous US amazonite with smoky quarts were present as well.
From Asia, many exhibitors were from India or Pakistan, with one my favorite mineral: blue aquamarine. Some of these specimens are valued at tens of thousands of euros, while truly exceptional pieces, like this Pakistani aquamarine, can go for even more.
Apart of minerals specimens, one can buy these beautiful chess or various paintings.
