Hi, I am Anushtup Roychoudhury, today I'll be sharing my story of my solo trekking and camping experience in an isolated mountain of Borasu region, Uttarakhand.
It's been been almost 4 years since I've started doing astrophotography. This was one of my main driving force for me for going to the mountains apart from the adventure factor. Although, for this adventure I always ought for trekking, not normal tour. Before this trek, I always went with my own group. This was the first time I went for a solo trekking. Although my main goal was to stay in a village, make a documentary on their ancient way of living and their festival. And I did it. And after that I went for my solo trekking after taking suggestions from several villagers. Many people are asking me why I went solo? The main reason is soul searching. In a solo trek you'll rediscover yourself.
On August 2021, I started this trek. You have to start this route from a place Taluka, and in order to reach Sankri via car from Dehradun. It was around 30kms trek all the way around.
I get this question a lot, that If I was alone, then who shot the video. Answer is, I placed the camera on tripod first, then started recording and again went back to walk towards the camera, and later just trimmed the extra part. Although in all honesty I combined clips from multiple days.

My full length documentary on the village Osla is coming soon on this channel. Stay tuned.
