A deafening twin-turbo V8 surprisingly nimble for an SUV, subdued styling makes it something of a sleeper.
Cons Not as exciting or seductive as the #RS6 Avant station wagon, soft brake pedal, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo feels more playful.
Verdict The #RSQ8 is equipped with almost all of Audi's high-speed knick-knacks, making it an incredibly fast and incredibly fun SUV .

Review
If the amazing Lamborghini Urus is too expensive or too luxurious for you, the 2022 #AudiRS #Q8 offers a similar package and nearly identical performance.
The reason for the similarities lies in the close mechanical links between these two top-tier high-performance SUVs.
Although the #Audi version with their shared twin-turbo V8 engine makes 50 fewer horsepower, its acceleration is nearly as breathtaking.
Despite the six-figure deal price, the #Audi can and should be considered a bargain given that it costs about half as much as a Lambo. Inside, the #RSQ8 offers the same high-tech cabin we've come to expect from modern Audis, with a dual touchscreen infotainment setup, a fully digital instrument cluster and a host of other gadgets.
While we won't call it the best #Audi - that title belongs to either the mR8 sports car or the RS6 Avant wagon - it's by far Audi's best SUV.

What's new for 2022?

Audi's coolest SUV is largely unchanged for 2022, aside from a few new standard driver-assistance features, including adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist.
The optional Executive package now includes traffic sign recognition and Intersection Assist, while a new RS-Design package is available which includes carpeted floor mats with RS logo, striped seat belts and faux suede Alcantara upholstery on the center console, steering wheel wheel, and gear shifter.
Prices and which one to buy
#RSQ8 : $121,095

The #RSQ8 has a six-figure price tag, but its performance, style, and recommended content will likely pay off. All #RSQ8 models come standard with an adaptive air suspension system, 22-inch wheels, heated and ventilated front seats, and a 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen stereo.


Engine, transmission and performance
The #RSQ8 is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a #quattro all-wheel drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission, as well as a 48-volt hybrid system for improved fuel efficiency. In November 2019, #Audi set a record at the #Nürburgring with a camouflaged #RSQ8 prototype.
When we tested the #RSQ8 , it hit 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds, just 0.1 seconds behind the much more expensive Urus .

Fuel economy and real MPG

EPA fuel economy estimates for the #RSQ8 are a dismal 13 mpg city and 19 mpg highway.
That's the price you pay for the RS Q8's performance potential. We didn't get a chance to test the #RSQ8 on our 75 mph highway fuel economy test route, but when we do, we'll update this story with its test results. For more information on #RSQ8 fuel economy, visit the EPA website.

Interior, comfort and cargo
The RS Q8's five-seat interior is basically the same as the Q8's, although it does have some special trim pieces and sportier front seats with more aggressive support to keep you in place during corners.
There are also RS logos scattered throughout. Passenger and cargo space is unchanged from the regular Q8 model, which means plenty of legroom and headroom for adults in both rows of seats. In our testing,the Q8 held eight carry-on suitcases behind the rear seat, and 23 in total with the rear seat folded down.

Infotainment and Communications
The #Audi Virtual Cockpit digital gauge cluster and dual touchscreen MMI interface have certain RS-specific displays that can show information such as torque and power output, lap times and G-forces.
Beyond that, we expect the Q8 to feature the same technologies,including standard #Apple #CarPlay and Android Auto integration, 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, and SiriusXM satellite radio.
