Goyt Valley before the flood: Goyt's Bridge & Errwood Hall

Описание к видео Goyt Valley before the flood: Goyt's Bridge & Errwood Hall

The Goyt Valley lies a few miles northwest from Buxton, in the Peak District National Park. Today the landscape is dominated by two large reservoirs - Fernilee to the north, and Errwood in the south.

In this video I use old photos, maps and cine film to show what this part of the valley looked like before the flooding of the reservoirs. See https://goyt-valley.org.uk for more information, detailed walks and lots of photos.

Many thanks to everyone who allowed me to scan their old photos - including Corrie and Michael. And to Jonny Easton who allowed me to use his wonderful piano music:    / jonnyboyveseer
