GMC Acadia Broken Heater Hose Replacement Chevy Traverse/Buick Enclave

One of the heater hoses snapped the quick disconnect off flush with the hose while we were out of town. I had no tools with me and no way to get to an auto parts store, so we had to be towed home like 40 miles away. It wasn't cheap.
There is no support for this hose and the line vibrates. Evidently the plastic fitting doesn't like the vibration so it broke off flush with the hose.
I didn't use the quick disconnect going back on. I used a preformed hose about 2" longer and a few hose clamps. When I went to NAPA to get a replacement line it comes as 2 pieces, the hose and the quick disconnect. I just used a longer piece of hose.
This is the GM high feature llt engine and was used in several model gm cars from 2009 to 2017 in some model GM cars.
