As Hurricane Ian makes landfall on the SC coast, significant storm surge has inundated the entirety of Pawleys Island. The highest elevation roadway on the north side, Atlantic Ave, is currently under at least 2' of water. Debris, such as power poles and tree limbs have been floating by. Multiple vehicles have sought higher ground at an elevated driveway as dangerous storm surge continues to rise.
