Hi everyone,

I'm here with something a little different today. This channel will remain primarily focused on From Software piano arrangements but I'm also planning to throw in a few other things that I'm working on here and there that are closely related, like this. Hope you all don't mind!

Since I already had my midi data from my Lichdragon Fortissax piano cover, and because I'm very interested in video game music composition, I decided to take a stab at adapting a retro-style arrangement of the track. (I was also inspired by the amazing @CthulhuSeeker synthwave arrangements of Elden Ring themes). I messed around with having the notes of all the different synths visually move down the screen like my other piano videos but there were a lot of overlapping notes and it felt a bit overwhelming, so I left this video as just the awesome artwork.

To be clear, this is technically "fakebit" as I've not created this on an actual old chip system, but in my DAW Reaper. In addition, I've used more modern production techniques compared to what was available at the time. However, all synths are from Plogue chipsounds which "authentically emulates 15 vintage 8-bit era sound chips (on top of their variants), down to their smallest idiosyncrasies" and the drums have all been bitcrushed down to 8 bit depth, so every sound you hear is an 8 bit sound. So it's a bit of a creative interpreation of what 8 bit means, but I am pretty happy with how it sounds and it was really fun to make. I hope you enjoy it as well.
