The Big Dipper is formed by the seven brightest stars in the constellation Ursa Major. The Big Dipper was the first group of stars I could identify so finding it in the night sky feels a little like coming home. 

As a kid, I spent many summer nights lying on our trampoline looking at the stars. Sleeping under the stars was one of my favorite things. I didn't realize at the time how blessed I was to grow up away from city lights. I thought everyone could walk outside and see what I saw. Little did I know that dark skies are a precious commodity.
