Roof inspection performed by Denver Roofer. Hail damage was noted by a Project Manager with Integrity Roofing and Painting.

Before we get on most roofs we like to identify the existing product. One of the tools that helps with this function is a shingle gauge from Haag Engineering. This tool is used to determine the thickness of the shingle thus helping us to identify the type of shingle.

Once on the roof we chalk a 10' x 10' square on one slope of the roof and begin to look for hail impacts on the shingles. Bruised shingles will appear as a fresh black color indicating the damage was caused recently. This roof that we inspected has evidence of hail damage which appeared as bruises in the asphalt shingles. The size of the hail was quarter size or larger.
