Elektronik, Feedback und funky Grooves vermischen sich mit sphärischen Sequenzen, Drum’n’Bass Patterns schlagen Breschen, Noise erschüttert die Musik. Satelliti bestehen aus dem Schlagzeuger Andrea Polato und dem Keyboarder Marco Dalle Luche, die 2010 erstmals begannen, miteinander zu jammen, bevor ihr erstes Album «Im Magen des Kosmos» erschien. Der Nachfolger «Transister» (2013) ist ihr bisheriges Highlight. Selten hört man zwei Typen, die so wuchtig Musik machen.

​Un tastierista e un batterista che si sono incontrati e hanno affinato un suono del tutto personale, con strutture che nascono e si sviluppano intorno a dei punti nodali, ma lasciano estremo spazio all’estemporaneità. Ne esce un suono che sembra figlio di Klaus Schulze e Jack DeJohnette, un viaggio di saliscendi sonori in atmosfere siderali. Un concerto onirico che trasporta il pubblico in un stato di trance, nello stomaco del cosmo. Uno spettacolo che ha lasciato il segno tanto da procurare loro l’occasione un contratto discografico con l’inglese Cuckandoo, un disco Transister (2013), finito nella best of di The Quietus, e la presenza su palchi di prestigiosi festival e club di tutta Europa.

Satelliti are a duo that formed in the Italian town of Bolzano in 2010, featuring Andrea Polato on drums and Marco Dalle Luche on keyboards and synths and while their first album Im Magen Des Kosmos is a relatively restrained, spacious, exploratory affair, obviously made by two talented musicians getting to know each other, their new album, Transister, coming out on Cuckundoo, is the sound of the cogs of magnificent gears slipping gloriously into place. The light has now been extinguished and the space, closed in but the playfulness and inventiveness have increased, creating a unique heavy sound that is admittedly dry and obviously played by dudes with impressive chops, but that doesn’t sacrifice anything in the way of heaviness and mind blowing groove. It is as funky as hell and remorselessly driving as well."
