In 1916, HRH Prince Chudadhuj, a student at Cambridge University, purchased an Erard-style gold harp and brought it back to Thailand. It was the country’s first harp. To celebrate the centenary of the Chudadhuj Harp, Tamnak Prathom Harp Centre presented the “Golden Music for the Golden Harp” concert at Siam Society, Bangkok, on July 17, 2015 . Elinor Bennett, foremost teacher and harpist from Wales, performed music from the golden age of the harp on this historic instrument . This is a performance of "Variations on a Theme of Mozart" by Mikhail Glinka.
