Special economic zone
A special economic zone is an area in which the business and trade laws are different from the rest of the country. SEZs are located within a country's national borders, and their aims include increased trade balance, employment, increased investment, job creation and effective administration.
Incentives for setting up in an Indian SEZ:
Some incentives for setting up a sourcing or manufacturing platform within an Indian SEZ include:

• Duty free import and domestic procurement of goods for the development, operation, and maintenance of your company/SEZ unit;

•Exemption from the goods and services tax (GST) and levies imposed by state government

• The government has allowed companies to ignore many of these. Instead of hiring workers on a regular basis, companies hire workers ' flexibility' for short periods when when there is intense pressure of work.
