this is part four to the series of me trying to figure out how to deal with my gastroesophageal reflux disease that is lead to anorexia and an inability for me to be able to eat food. And part one and two I work through realizing that I’m going to need to follow up with my primary care physician. After meeting with my primary care physician she ordered an upper G.I. and put in a referral for a bariatric specialist. In part three I had my upper G.I. and then later that day I received the results. Due to the results I contacted the bariatric surgeon to check up on my referral and was able to get in within 48 hours. this video is before and after that appointment. He went through my upper G.I. results and has made a referral for two more studies to be done but it’s looking like I am now going to have to have a Roux-en-Y also known as a gastric bypass. Even though this is not something I wanted he is concerned since food seems to be getting stuck in my esophagus and that’s very dangerous and could mean even more severe consequences such as cancer.
