Sailing-Enthusiast Turned Shipwright Restores 100-Year-Old Wooden Fishing Vessel

Wooden boats have almost always been part of Eric Chevalier's life. This avid sailor-turned-shipwright uses traditional methods and tools to restore vintage vessels to their former glory, and his recent restoration of the historic SS Merriwake is no exception. Having the opportunity of working on the 100+-year-old fishing boat with ties to the local Japanese Canadian community is something Chevalier will remember forever.
