The patient, a native of Kenya, was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis and liver cancer. His family searched online for a suitable hospital and finally decided to come to India and get him admitted to Manipal Hospitals, Bangalore. After meeting a team of doctors here and undergoing several tests, it was found that the only suffered from end-stage cirrhosis and not liver cancer. The doctors then decided to go ahead with the transplant with the help of a living donor. The treatment was successful.
