Closing out the year and starting 2026 with an absolute banger - what do you say?

Zhao's aesthetic and animations reminded me so much of Sonic's world and characters that I thought, why not continue the series (which started off with Varesa from Genshin) and create a Sonic-esque high energy, fast-paced theme for our beloved Zhabubu to celebrate her release?
As I was sketching out ideas, her actual character trailer dropped, much to my surprise. While there wasn't much musical material to draw inspiration from, there was this cute chord progression that felt perfect for the project. I recreated the riff you hear at the beginning and used it as the foundation of the track.
