The 2023 Mexican film ¿Quieres ser mi...hijo? is a heartwarming comedy-drama about a middle-aged woman who suddenly finds herself faced with the possibility of having an adult son.

The story centers on Luisa, a 47-year-old woman who is successful in her career but feels empty after her son leaves home. She feels lonely and longs to regain her role as a mother.

One day, Javier, a cheerful and energetic young man in his 20s, unexpectedly enters her life. He is a talented young musician who is struggling to make ends meet and needs a place to stay. Through a series of funny and unexpected events, Luisa offers Javier a place to stay in her home.

Initially, their relationship is purely that of host and tenant. Over time, however, Luisa began to see Javier not just as a tenant, but also as a son who could fill the void in her life. She started showing him maternal care, guiding him and trying to help with his music career.

Javier, on the other hand, found a level of comfort and support he had never experienced before. Though initially awkward with Luisa's "motherly affection," he began to appreciate her presence and felt like he had a family.
