Follow this video tutorial to meet with a different advisor using Buff Portal Advising.

Log in to Buff Portal Advising is easy through the Academic Advising card in Buff Portal, or by navigating directly to: https://www.colorado.edu/buffportalad...

Step 1: You can meet with an advisor in any program. Click the Meet with a Different Advisor card.

Step 2: Select the appropriate option: Add a Major (Explore), Change My Major, and Add a Minor (Explore) to view the calendar of an advisor in a major or minor of interest. Drop a Major and Drop a Minor provide an option to drop a major or minor you already declared. After making your selection, click Next.

Step 3: Select the appropriate college, school or program to narrow down the list of options, otherwise, select ALL. Then click Next.

Step 4: Select the major or minor of interest, then click Next

Step 5: Select Schedule an Advisor Appointment Now! To view available meetings with an advisor in that field. Select THIS LINK! To declare a major or minor in the College of Arts & Sciences online (Not available to all students). Students interested in a major outside their current college will see links with information on the Intra-Univeristy Transfer (IUT) process.

Step 6: Available appointments and drop-ins will be color-coded on the calendar. Click on the appropriate session to view more information.
