Melissa graduated with a Masters in Counseling and Biblical Studies from Grace University. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work from Southwest Texas State University. She is licensed in the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor (LPC-S).

In addition to counseling, Melissa has a heart for the community. She speaks at schools, organizations, and businesses about Eating Disorders, Identity Issues, and Body Image.
Melissa and her husband live in the Dallas area with their son and daughter.
