Artillery of Antietam lecture with Author Jim Rosebrock

Описание к видео Artillery of Antietam lecture with Author Jim Rosebrock

The Artillery of Antietam is the first comprehensive examination of every Federal and Confederate artillery battery (135 in all), and their commanders that fought in the Maryland Campaign and all its battles. Over the course of writing the book and digging into the story of the artillery fight, Rosebrock discovered several new perspectives about the artillery at America’s bloodiest day.

James Rosebrock, a native of Buffalo, New York, earned a bachelor’s degree in Russian history from Niagara University in 1976. Upon graduation, he was commissioned in the United States Army and served for 28 years retiring as a lieutenant colonel in 2004. Jim subsequently worked at and retired from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in 2021. Jim has volunteered at Antietam National Battlefield since 2007 and currently works with Antietam’s artillery detachment, Battery B, 4th United States Artillery. A certified battlefield guide at Antietam since 2009, Jim led the guide service from 2012 to 2018 and is a founding member of the Antietam Institute. Jim lives with his family in Jefferson, Maryland. The Artillery of Antietam is his first book.
