In India, nearly 150 million senior citizens face a harsh reality — 75% are financially dependent, and 88% receive no pension. Many are still healthy, skilled, and eager to work, but after 60, suitable opportunities vanish. This leads not only to financial struggles but also a loss of dignity. To change this, the 10th Free Job Fair for Senior Citizens is being held on September 7, 2025, at St. Joseph’s University, Bengaluru. With 40+ employers participating, hundreds of seniors will get a chance to step back into the workforce. So far, across 9 job fairs, more than 8,500 senior citizens have registered, and 2,925 seniors have been re-employed with dignity. This initiative by Nightingale Medical Trust is not just about jobs — it’s about restoring hope, respect, and independence.
