Chrono Trigger is my favorite game of all time! I go over this in the beginning, but I hadn’t played since I was like, 15 or 16 and I’m 33 for this playthrough. I grew up with Mac computers and since we didn’t own CT on SNES physically, my brother helped me set up a ROM for it when I was around 12 or so. Our Macs kept breaking, but I would restart the ROM every time because I loved it so much. I got to Death Peak and was a little confused on how to go up the mountain, so I bought the PS1 version when I became a PS2 girl and finally beat it. But again, I was a teenager… it’s been a WHILE!
I have watched people play it since, but it was a whole other experience finally playing it again as an adult. And the DS/Steam version nonetheless which I’ve never played! I didn’t like the new translations, but I’m sure that was just my hipster bias showing lmao. But I did appreciate the Radical Dreamers/pseudo-Chrono Cross secret boss addition. It took a while to get through the post-game dungeons for that, but it was fun experiencing it with my chat.
I also got to bring out my Lucca and Ayla cosplays for the first time since pre-pandemic. I am very happy about that since I love them so much and I’m glad my viewers really enjoyed that too! I also have soooo many CT shirts so I broke all of them out too!
As a kid/teen, when I was home alone playing games, I would voice act the whole thing by myself. ESPECIALLY with Chrono Trigger. So it was really awesome to be able to do it on twitch with everyone!
Shoutout to my mod Bakalakadaka for guiding me the most, and him & my other mods for dealing with the weirdos lmao. I’m very glad I decided to do follower-only chat for this game. And even WITH that we still had trouble sometimes 💀
