In this video I talk about telephone "butt sets".  Butt sets, which is short for "butt into the telephone network" have been used for decades. Because of the popularity of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) butt sets, which test analog systems, are rarely used today. This is just a fun video describing an older piece of test equipment. In this video you'll see a vintage butt set; the one I found when I was a teenager (circa 1967) and also the latest and greatest butt set that is used today.
