Q. What forms do I need to file my husbands will? I am the sole beneficiary. All assets were joint.

Gary answers: You said all assets were joint, but that does not necessarily mean that you have survivorship rights. They could be tenants in common instead of joint tenants. You need a lawyer to help you determine the answer to that question. If you have survivorship rights to your fathers interest in those assets, you will not have to probate the will. But if you have some assets to which you do not have survivorship rights, those assets must be probated. You also need to consult with a lawyer to obtain assistance on transferring the assets into your name only.
