Edit: *Apparently if you, in that current Plunder session get a kill with your secondary weapon that session will not count towards the quest progress. Wierd, i know.
If your target dies while downed without you finishing him with the shotgun, the match will not register. Also applies for kills with vehicles. So try to get the 7 kills first then do whatever else you want.
If you leave the match they have so kind of pennalty system that will not register stuff for quests for the next 1-2 matches.
If your match doesnt register, the fix is going into a warzone match, get killed fast (do not leave the match) and then go back in Plunder and get the 7 kills.
