Just two weeks ago, I told you that we planned to sell our Mustang Mach-E to Vroom; just a day later, Tesla assigned a vehicle to the Model S order we placed all the way back on January 20th. As you might remember, Tesla stopped making the old Model S in December 2020 and announced a new Model S, and the Model S Plaid, on January 27th. The new Model S was listed starting at $80,000 but I was going to have to wait until after a couple thousand Plaid deliveries to get mine. Since then, Tesla has increased the price of their vehicles a few times but said they would honor existing reservations meaning that new customers placing their orders today would pay $95,000 for the same car they would sell to me for $80,000. On top of that, because our order was placed before the refresh was announced, Tesla gave us a $2000 credit - Essentially, they apologized for not matching us to the exact vehicle we ordered but we actually got something much better than we ever could have expected! So, with unbelievable pricing available and incredible timing, I made a few moves, and POOF now we have what appears identical to a $150,000 car for half the price! THANKS ELON!

At first, I didn't know what to do with it but, as you'll see in the video, I think we're going to keep it. At least for a few months. We still plan to purchase a new CCS-powered EV next year but until then, we'll see how well the newest addition does in our fleet.
