The training program is part of the Zero Waste Cities project. It aims to support the institutional capacity of Ukrainian communities through a series of training webinars that provide relevant theoretical knowledge and examples of best practices in household waste management in the European Union. Five modules, with two to three webinars in each, are planned.

📌Experience in deposit-return system (DRS) implementation (EU case studies);
📌Tax on single-use plastics.

Speakers of the event:
⭐️Joachim Quoden, Managing Director at EXPRA, European Alliance for Extended Producer Responsibility;
⭐️Gemma Nohales and Mike Stinavage, coordinators of the LIFE BIOBEST project, a project that explores the process of collecting and composting bio-waste and implementing best practices on the ground;
⭐️Chloé Schwizgebel, project coordinator at the Fair Resource Foundation, an NGO based in the Netherlands and Belgium that aims to reduce resource use;
⭐️Marco Ritzkowski, postdoctoral research fellow and lecturer at the Hamburg University of Technology, Institute of Environmental Technology and Energy Economics.
