Dumpling desserts are among the most popular in the home kitchens of Hungary. One of my favorites is made with cottage cheese, and they're called túrógombóc in Hungarian. Whenever my mom made them, she always served them with jam, which isn't actually that typical. I've put a twist on the recipe by flavoring the apricot jam with lavender and honey. I also add chopped almonds to the breadcrumb coating to riff on the almond undertones of the apricot kernels. Enjoy these wonderful, sweet dumplings!
