The Los Angeles Police Department says 59-year-old Kiefer Sutherland was arrested on Monday. The arrest follows an alleged altercation with a rideshare driver. The actor was arrested following reports of a driver being assaulted.

Sutherland ultimately bonded out for $50,000. The Los Angeles Police Department reports that its officers responded to a call about an "assault involving a rideshare driver" just after midnight on Monday.

The suspect, Sutherland, allegedly got into a vehicle, assaulted the driver, and threatened the driver. This is not the first time the actor has been in trouble. In September 2007, Sutherland was arrested for drunk driving in Los Angeles. It was his fourth DUI charge since 1989. He pleaded no contest to DUI and was sentenced to 48 days in jail.

In May 2009, he was arrested for head-butting fashion designer Jack McCollough. They released a joint statement, Sutherland apologized, and police dropped the charges. #News #Crime #CA
