This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Giulia Rozzi believes that by sharing stories and laughing at those stories we help others feel less lonely and help ourselves feel less lonely. Comedy is more than the clever punchline, it's the connection the comic has with the audiance. By opening up we reveal our most vulnerable, genuine selves. We find the most brilliant humor and find comfort that our thoughts are more universal than we imagined. This cathartic connection, according to Giulia, can help make us happier.

Giulia Rozzi is a comedian, actress and writer who was raised in Boston by two adorable Italian immigrants. She has appeared on Chelsea Lately, Vh1, Playboy TV, MTV, CNN, and TLC and has written for MTV's Girl Code and Silent Library. She also has contributed to Esquire, Bust Magazine, The Huffington Post, xoJane. Her very personal, blunt and animated style of comedy earned her the honor of being a Moth GrandSLAM champion and led her to create two solo shows: Stupid Foreigners and her current show, Bad Bride. She also co-hosts the wildly popular storytelling show Stripped Stories and is currently co-staring in the web series Seeing Other People.
