First, our silk products are made from 100 percent pure mulberry silk of the highest grade. Each mulberry silk filament is soft to the touch, strong, and measures between 600 and 900 meters To put it in perspective, that’s the length of six to ten football fields.
Silk is a natural, protein based fiber. Our silk sheets and pillowcases are made entirely from genuine silk, unlike a satin sheet that’s made from synthetic polyester.
Silk weight is measured in a unit known as momme. Momme is similar to thread count in cotton sheets. Higher momme weight silk contains more silk and is made with thicker yarn than lower momme weight silk. Our silk comes in lighter weight 19 momme, a heavier 22 momme, and a luxurious, heavy 30 momme weight.
