Bear Canyon Legends - a Tucson trail running film

Описание к видео Bear Canyon Legends - a Tucson trail running film

Since 1978 Ken Young's Tucson Trail Runners have recorded times on southern Arizona's most iconic long distance mountain runs. Nobody has broken 2 hours on the 16.8 mile Bear Canyon Loop since 1983. Why is this, and will someone be able to do it in 2021?

This project began on a whim, inspired by Nike's 2017 Breaking2 attempt, to try and replicate a feat on an iconic Tucson trail where the 2 hour barrier hadn't been eclipsed for over 38 years. After the pandemic began, it became an exciting challenge for both runners and the filmmaker. It was also a huge community effort by the Tucson Trail Runners, with over 40 people participating in capturing the race footage and delving into the storied history of the Tucson Trail Runners.
