Anthropogenic activities are producing greenhouse gas emissions at a record high, with no signs of slowing down, evidence being record temperatures and abnormalities recorded from across the globe. Climate change has turned into climate emergency and has become the defining crisis of our times with its implications leading to climate disasters, weather extremes, food, and water scarcity all visible in front of us.

Unfortunately, global events are making the problems felt at local levels as well. For example, La Nina over Pacific Ocean from last year is still persisting and is responsible for abnormal heat waves and associated temperature in Northern parts of India and Pakistan.
