Описание к видео 2001 Toyota Avalon Ignition Lock Cylinder Rebuild Remove Split Wafer Clean Camry Solara Lexus & More

My best attempt at making the most comprehensive video on youtube for opening, cleaning, lubricating, and rebuilding a 2001 Toyota Avalon Ignition Lock Cylinder and (most likely) many other years and various models of Toyota cars. Save $60. - $1,000. by rebuilding your own Ignition Cylinder Lock! Please know that I am an amateur... That being said... I was successful! If you are very careful and NOT RUSHED rebuilding the lock is not that difficult. some years of Toyota have the number 4 and number 7 wafers (tumblers) split in an attempt to increase the lock security. Problem is these wear out over time and can jamb your lock leaving you randomly stranded. If you remove these tumblers, your key still works and your car is still secure... just a bit less secure is all. but then again... when have you ever heard of a car thief picking a lock on an ignition??? If the lock is jammed in the car and you can not get it to release or move the key... then a nearly free DIY rebuild is (most likely) out of the question AND you will have to pay for a tow AND a new Ignition Cylinder Lock & remove or pay to have removed the old jammed lock! I realize that the video production is a bit shabby and I am a bit repetitive but... It is what it is. Bottom Line... you can benefit from my many hours of research simply by investing the time and watching this entire video. In the end... If you take on the project... you will not regret watching this! Please know that I am in no way, shape or form a locksmith so this video is for entertainment purposes only. Please DO NOT contact me asking any technical questions related to this video.
