Get Out Of My Room, I'm Playing Minecraft!

Today I wanted to share a pretty simple way to recreate a Minecraft Nether Portal in Game Builder Garage. The overall build is composed of many smaller, easy parts. First we build the portal, texture it, and animate the inner portal material. Next we add a portal touch sensor, a screen effect platform using the head nodon, and some sound effects! Finally, we manage the portal timer, and then copy and past everything into two portals.

Some things you could do to go a step further:
Add particle effects along with the portal.
Create additional visual elements like trees/complex Minecraft grass
Change the environment to really differentiate the portal areas
Build Minecraft from ScRaTcH :)
