Deep Water is a shallow Gone Girl cosplay. Featuring 2 leads that look absolutely miserable in their respective roles. Ben Affleck seems bored, wandering through the picture while Ana De Armas is just plain unlikable. To be fair, that is maybe what the film is going for but that doesn't make it entertaining or interesting to watch. I spent the entire movie wondering why these two are together. There is ironically no depth to Deep Water. It's a surface-level thriller that gives away the game 30 minutes in. It's easily one of the worst movies I've seen in 2023. Keep in mid, I've seen Morbius already.
